We have known Carol as a sister in law and Aunty for many years. Carol was a kind and cheerful person who always welcomed you with a smile and we hold very fond memories of our visits with her, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her, Rest in Peace Carol xx

• I remember Carol when you and Phil were first married, you were both quite young then and full of the joys of spring in one and other. I was just a kid allowed to spend some time with you both which seemed like a liberation from the more staid atmosphere of home. I remember you as being kind, smiling and always interested in what I had to say though no doubt I didn’t say much that was profound. Later I occasionally babysat for your first born Jane, also sadly gone too soon, and also a bundle of happiness back then. Rest in Peace Carol. • David

A kind and great sense of humour she always was fun, I used to love going as kid to see Aunty carol and the rest of courses. One memory that sticks to mind is Carol making me Earl grey tea and loving it and asking for it again and again. Tasted it since and I am not fan, only earl grey by Aunty Carol lol

I have known Carol for over 50 years mainly as a sister in law. She was blessed with a cheerful and caring nature and was a loving support for all her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. R.I.P. Carol
